Variable Source Circuit
Through the coarse of testing industrial control equipment I have more than once had a need for a 0-10 Vdc or 4-20mA source. My new place of employment does not have allot of ‘test’ equipment laying around, so I decided to create some. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel I turned to the internet for an answer and I found a good one. The solution I found only requires a handful of parts and is easy to build. Unfortunately, I do not remember the source of this ingenious circuit; so if your out there speak up. I built one prototype so far and it works great. To the right is a dual source diagram and a parts this for a unit that will provide either 0-10Vdc or 3to21mA from a +24vdc source. I also stripped down the design a bit and built a 3to21mA only circuit as well. Now I have to build a bunch more.
