I got a Golden Ticket

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Golden TicketWell not a real golden ticket, but just as good. 2008 Great American Beer Festival Tickets. Yes, it dos not happen until October, but I was not taking any chances this year. As soon as they where released I ordered mine, they usually sell out weeks, if not months in advance.  Then you end up paying a scalper big bucks to get in.

So once again for a mere $50, I get to enjoy all the beer I wish in a four and a half hour period. That’s right it was extended this year from 5:30 to 10:00PM. Good Deal! Just don’t drop the single tasting cup you get at the door, or your night will end early. Stay tuned for more in October, or check out last years excursion to Denver Colorado for the 2007 GABF.

Duke Nukem Forever Sneak Peak

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

One of the greatest first person shooters ever created, OK maybe not the greatest, but the most well know. Duke Nukem! I used to play this every lunch hour for years, then it go to old. Promises of a new version where told. It’s been in development for 12 years. Does it really exist. The answer is yes. The Jace Hall show gets an exclusive look of Duke Nukem Forever from inside the development lab at 3D Realms. The Duke Nukem bit is about 2 minutes 30 seconds into the video. Enjoy!

Going to try two wheels

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Motorcycle Instructional PermitRiding around on two wheels was never really an interest of mine. Not to mention, since my motor scooter incident, frankly I have been a little afraid. Well that all is about to change. With a brand new motor cycle sitting in the garage and an expecting wife unable to drive it, I decided what the heck. I went and got my instructional permit today and I am working on getting class ‘M’ added to my drivers license. Drivers of Milwaukee, look out!

Wow Wii

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Nintendo WiiNintendo Wii that is. I have not had a game system since the original Sony Play Station ages ago. I decided a while ago that I don’t have time for games with all the work I do. Now, don’t get me wrong I have went by friends and loved playing the new systems out there and enjoy it thoroughly. I just never wanted to fork over the loot for one myself, If I was to the Wii would of probably been last on my list. I unexpectedly got a Wii recently for my birthday. Wow was I wrong! I love the game play of this thing. So what if the graphics are not that of an X-Box or Playstation, the game play more than makes up for it. Could my 2 year old daughter pitch to me in baseball on any other system? I think not. I have found it to be a great way for me to unwind late at night and a good pass time for me a the kid when the weather is crummy out. I love my Wii!

Great American Beer Festival 2007

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Once again there was beer, and lots of it. With over 430 breweries on location for a total of more than 3000 beers on tap, there was more than just a few beers to sample. There is no place in the world like Denver Colorado during the Great American Beer Festival, except maybe OctoberFest in Germany. Men in skirts, Women with pretzel necklaces on, guys in blue leisure suits, and the occasional cardboard bird on someone’s head. I was actually graced with the birdhat for a few moments, you can see it in this interview on G4 TV . That’s me standing next to Jason in the blue leisure suit as the show starts. No one where the bird hat finer than the BirdMan though, he was strutting his stuff for all to see once again at this years celebration of beer. Hell, we even where featured in the official beerfest photo gallery this year. So enjoy the photos and our little video compilation.
